Dr. Gwen Martin, EdS, PhD, BCBA-D

Owner/President

Dr. Gwen Martin is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst–Doctorate with a PhD in psychology. She has over three decades of experience providing clinical services, professional training, and program leadership in the fields of applied behavior analysis, autism, and developmental disabilities. She is the Founder and President of Conduct Curb, LLC, where the organization provides intensive behavioral intervention, support, educational, and diagnostic services to children with developmental disabilities and their families.

Dr. Martin earned her PhD and EdS in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky, with specializations in Family Therapy and Applied Behavior Analysis. Her doctoral research examined the impact of knowledge and support interventions on aggressive behavior in siblings of individuals diagnosed with autism, reflecting her longstanding commitment to family-centered, evidence-based care. She also holds a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Western Kentucky University.

She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst–Doctorate (BCBA-D) and holds a Graduate Certificate in Developmental Disabilities. Her clinical expertise includes autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, trauma, severe behavior disorders, and family systems. Throughout her career, Dr. Martin has provided behavioral assessment and intervention, psychotherapy, program development, staff training, and clinical supervision across outpatient, home-based, residential, hospital, university, and community settings.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Martin served in higher education for over a decade, including as a professor at Ball State University, where she taught graduate-level and advanced coursework in applied behavior analysis, behavior consultation, autism, and practicum supervision. She has also held leadership roles directing autism and behavior support programs, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, developing service models, and managing clinical operations and budgets.

Dr. Martin was a frequent presenter at regional conferences and has delivered hundreds of hours of professional training for behavior analysts, therapists, educators, medical professionals, first responders, and families. Her training topics include functional behavior assessment, positive behavior supports, autism intervention, supervision and ethics, feeding issues, social skills, trauma-informed care, and family-based behavior planning. She has also served as a reviewer for the National Autism Center’s National Standards Project and as a board member for Struggling Youth Equals Successful Adults (SYESA), a nonprofit organization serving at-risk youth in Chicago.

Through Conduct Curb, LLC, Dr. Martin is known for her practical, ethical, and family-centered approach to behavior change, combining behavioral science with compassion, collaboration, and real-world application.
